            The human itself is a marvel creature. This is because the human is built with a complex body system which helps a human to function well and to survive. What makes a human superior to an animal is the brain structures. The human brain is able to do complex processes such as conscious thought, language and other cognitive functions. The brain enables a human to become a social and civilised creature. Taking multivitamins is deemed to help with brain health.

            There are many supplements available in the market that are said to help with brain health. Supplements are made to help the brain of all ages starting from a child to an old person. With the vast options available, it can be quite confusing and overwhelming for a person to choose which supplements or multivitamin works best for their brain health. Here are some suggestions on vitamins or other nutrients that could improve the brain health:

Vitamin B also helps to improve mental health by altering the brain chemical responsible for mood regulations. This means that the vitamin helps to improve a person’s mood, especially those with depression.

2-    Vitamin E-

Vitamin E is known as an antioxidant that is able to prevent damages to the brain cell. Damages usually are from free radicals from stress or harmful substances. Studies show vitamin E helps to protect against dementia that is caused by the brain cells to become damaged from the ageing process.

3-    Omega-3

Fish oil is usually made from fatty fish such as salmon, cod, mackerel, sardine and whitefish. Some fish novel fish oil is added with krill oil which is made from tiny crustaceans. Fish oil contained a high amount of omega-3. Omega-3 in the form of DHA and EPA existed abundantly in the brain. By taking fish oil or omega-3, the brain can be preserved by inhibition of brain cell death and possibly to reconnect the damaged brain cells.

4-    Curcumin

This ingredient can be found in turmeric. It is high with antioxidants. Antioxidants help to prevent damages to the brain cells from ageing faster and help to improve the brain functions such as memory skills.

5-    Ginkgo biloba

Ginkgo biloba is an ancient herb originated from China and it is said to be coming from the oldest tree ever existed on the earth. Its leaf or seed has been countlessly used in traditional Chinese medicine and traditional Indian Ayurvedic medicine. Its ability to promote good blood flow helps the brain to get the blood supply needed to function and helps to prevent brain damages. This in turn enhances the brain’s cognitive skills.

       To have a healthy brain is to make sure you are making sure to take health measures such as supplements and taking a balanced meal to make sure your body is well nourished.
